As of today Petography (Pet Photography) will temporarily no longer be shot in the studio. The pet package I offer will also change. The pet package will now change to $125 the same as a portrait session.
There’s a few reasons for doing this. For alot of people out there, they can’t have children, don’t want children, or just plain don’t like children. Well…that’s not the case for me. But since I can’t have children of my own, I have a dog.
I want to capture your dog in your life. They’re not wild animals, they sleep inside in the bed with you, they comfort you when you’re sad and play with you when you’re happy. I’d like to capture that happening in the moment. My dog isn’t just my best friend, he’s my family and he’s a major part of my life. If I got pictures of him I’d want pictures of him just like I would if it was a regular person in my family. So that’s what the new pet package will be.
I’ll capture your dog like any other session. We’ll go to the park, we’ll take pictures at home where they’re most comfortable, playing with their favorite toys, eating, napping and I’ll be shooting you right beside them!

In other news…The website got a small overhaul with new added photos, and an updated entry page and slideshow. I also added the senior gallery in addition to the portrait one. I have some exciting new products coming out in the next few months for the 2009 senior season, they’ll be ready in time for August! Keep an eye out here for that little project, you might see something soon.
I’ve started selling processed images on cd for weddings only! If I’ve shot your wedding before or just wanna book an upcoming date now is the time! Email me for details on discs.
I’m also very excited to say that the blog will be getting a much needed facelift in the next couple of weeks. New comment system (kinda like a chat box) with a new navigation bar at the top. I’m also doing away with the sidebar and making the entire page a single column (bigger images anyone?) later on the bottom bar will get revamped as well.
That’s all for today, check back this weekend through next week, more images will be added here on the blog and to the website!

Kasey Stringer - I can’t believe you are not doing the studio Pet Photography. I thought that was really your niche! You should definitely consider still doing that. They were always so much fun. Plus, I never got Buddy up there!
Matt - Well I’ve been thinking about it, I’m thinking about doing it in limited copacity. I need to get some new studio equipment first. That was one of the reasons of getting out of it. My setup was too much of a hassel to deal with for only $50 a session and the chance of getting bitten (it’s happened.) So I’m gonna sell off my JTL lights for some alienbees and will probably get back into it for a higher session fee to cover my costs and health :p better.
