From the Archives

I’m starting a new series just to highlight some of my older stuff as I go through and re-process some of them. I call it “From the Archives” ocassionally in the lull of things you’ll see some new images from whatever I dig up from the archives on my hard drive.

Over the years I’ve seen and done alot of things in photography, but years before I got into the portrait scene I was into Urban Exploring. It’s where you go and find old run down buildings and houses and take pictures. It’s actually a term where people find those places and steal things in them, but the photographers who urban explore have a set of rules we play by and never do anything like that. We just love to take pictures of old crap stuff.

Of course there were always a set of rules in place to even start doing it, most of which is common sense. I always liked it because it was fun finding “new” places. It’s not Mayan ruins from thousands of years ago but you can find some buildings practically untouched for 50 or more years. An atestament to time and history. If someone doesn’t take photos of them they’ll be gone before anyone realizes how great they once were.

Here’s a few of my oldest ones.
